Assassin’s Creed Shadows set in Japan, revealed later this week

Patience is key.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the proper name for what was once known as Assassin’s Creed Red, the next major instalment of the franchise that’s set in Feudal Japan.

Today, alongside the game’s proper title, Ubisoft announced that we’ll learn more about it from 2.00 am AEST on 16 May.

“In addition, starting today, a countdown has started on Assassin’s Creed social media channels. Players are invited to crack the Hourglass puzzle; those who succeed will be rewarded,” Ubisoft added.

If you’re not about social media sleuthing, we’ll report back on 16 May with all the news on Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

If you’re keen to wake up super early (or stay up super late), you can watch the reveal trailer on YouTube — we’ve embedded the video above.

While we wait, what do you hope to see from Assassin’s Creed’slatest?

We’ll have more on Assassin’s Creed Shadows as it’s made available.
