Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Valhalla get free crossover DLC

Rejoice!

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will offer up free crossover DLC that will introduce Kassandra to Eivor, Ubisoft has recently announced.

The journey begins in Odyssey, with players able to control either Kassandra or Alexios (depending on who you’re playing as yourself) before Kassandra (read: no choice there) drops into Valhalla in the second part.

“We had to keep in mind that Kassandra is over 1,300 years older,” Ubisoft Quebec Associate Creative Director Clémence Nogrix told the PlayStation Blog.

“She has traveled the world and seen the rise and fall of the roman empire. We wanted to make sure that players felt she had learned and seen a lot, but that she was able to stay the same at heart. It was challenging in a way that we were attentive to each hero’s personality, but we made sure they both showed what they were made of on the battlefield. The team did an amazing job with that encounter scene.”

Both Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla are currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5.
