Assassin’s Creed Mirage Valley of Memory coming in November

It's reported that the free DLC comes through a partnership with Saudi Arabia's PIF.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Valley of Memory is a free piece of DLC coming November, reportedly the result of a partnership between Ubisoft and the Saudi Arabia-backed Savvy Games Group.

The DLC, which releases on 18 November, is set in 9th Century AlUla, a Saudi Arabian governorate.

In a post, Ubisoft described AlUla as “an ancient valley charged with history and home to stunning and diverse landscapes,” adding that, as Basim, players “will have the chance to explore a variety of points of interest in the region, from the old town of AlUla and the Musa Ibn Musayr fortress to the Valley of the Stones and the impressive necropolis of Hegra.”

Ubisoft didn’t use today’s post to explain why the DLC will be offered without cost, though reports suggest it’s possible through a partnership with the Saudi Arabia-backed Savvy Games Group.

The games- and eSports-focused organisation sits under the portfolio of the country’s Public Investment Fund, the same initiative behind a $55 million USD buyout of publisher Electronic Arts.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5.
