Assassin’s Creed Mirage iPhone, iPad release coming June

The Assassin’s Creed Mirage iPhone and iPad release date has been set for 6 June, Ubisoft has today advised.

Ubisoft says the iOS iteration will be “the same experience as the console version” and offer adapted touchscreen controls. It will also support peripherals like the Backbone for those who like proper handheld experiences.

Players can also try before they buy — a 90-minute trial is free; a full purchase of the title after that will set you back $49.99 USD.

A shorter playthrough that the monstrosities that were Assassin’s Creed Origins, Odyssey, and ValhallaMirage originally started life as DLC for Valhalla itself.

“If you’re old enough to know who Desmond Miles is, and have a desire to return to the series’ origins, Assassin’s Creed Mirage hits the spot,” Ben wrote in his glowing review.

“It reins in the endless expansion and has very clear direction,” Ben continued. “It’s a much simpler game with a stealth focus, and many of its mechanics would feel at home in 2010 – if Ubisoft told us this was a remaster of an unreleased game from that era, we’d easily believe it.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a rare example of taking two steps back and staying there intentionally; to return to an older style of gameplay that equates to smaller and cheaper but certainly not lesser.”

Are you planning on checking out Assassin’s Creed Mirage on iPhone or iPad? If so, you’ll need an iPhone 15 Pro, or an iPad with an M-series chip.
