Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection’s derpy peasant has been patched out

A new Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection patch has removed a peculiar-looking non-player character (NPC) from the game.

The character made headlines last month when spotted by gamers playing through the re-release of Assassin’s Creed 2.

“The NPC in question only appears in Sequence 1, Memory 1 in Assassin’s Creed 2 and is randomly generated, appearing infrequently,” an Ubisoft representative confirmed with Stevivor.

“The graphics issue does not affect the core gameplay of Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection.”

At any rate, he’s gone now. RIP, dude.
