Arkane’s Deathloop is oozing with personality (and guns!)

Arkane Lyon’s Deathloop was today shown off during the PlayStation Future of Gaming livestream.

You need to check this out for yourself — and we’re happy to help do that with a trailer below (when available).

Your protagonist’s goal is seemingly simple: you have eight targets that need to die before midnight. The problem is that the protagonist keeps going through those titular deathloops, seemingly reliving the same day… and the same assassinations until he can succeed.

“As Colt, players are trapped in a time loop on the enigmatic island of Blackreef, doomed to repeat the same day for eternity. The only chance for escape is to break the loop by assassinating eight key targets before the day resets,” Bethesda said of its title.

“However, lurking in the shadows is rival assassin Julianna, equipped with her own equally powerful abilities and weapons, on a mission to protect the loop by assassinating Colt, and restarting the cycle.”

What did you make of Deathloop? Announced last year at E3 2019, the title heads to Windows PC and PS5 this holiday season.
