Apple reveals iPhone 16 range of phones, including Plus, Pro, and Pro Max

Four new phones are heading your way.

Apple today revealed its iPhone 16 range, including the iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The models all come equipped with the programmable Action button that featured on the iPhone 15 Pro, and all boast improved battery life and a vertical suite of cameras.

Pro models will offer larger displays, improved battery life (again!), and camera upgrades including a 5x optical zoom. Standard models will run on Apple’s A18 silicon, while Pro models will use the A18 Pro.

All models of the iPhone 16 will debut here in Australia from 20 September. Pricing for the iPhone 16 starts at $1,399 AUD, $1,599 AUD for the iPhone 16 Plus, $1,799 AUD for the iPhone Pro, and $2,149 for the iPhone Pro Max.

Apple also used the event to detail new entries in its peripheral range. First, the Apple Watch 10 will sport 42mm and 46mm models, with larger wide-angle OLED displays. They’re available from 20 September as well, with pricing starting at $649 AUD.

Next, the AirPods 4 will offer open-ear noise cancelling and sport the familiar form factor we’re all well aware of. They’re complete with a USB-C charging case and will set you back $219 AUD or $299 AUD with that new noise cancelling feature.

Finally, the AirPods Max will set you back a whopping $899 AUD.
