Apex Legends gets its first set of challenges for players to best

Apex Legends has received its first set of challenges, each offering rewards upon their completion.

Called the “Legendary Hunt,” this first set of in-game challenges will run from now until 18 June and revolve around the character of Bloodhound. The challenges also coincide with a timed event called the Apex Elite Queue, offering something resembling a competitive matchmaking mode for the popular battle royale. Those who perform in the top five in a match will be offered the chance to queue with the other top five finishers, going up against fellow top fivers from other games.

“Now through June 18, earn your stripes by completing challenges, prove your prowess in a new elite queue, and show you’re the ultimate predator with all-new rewards,” a tweet by devleoper Respawn reads.

The first set of Apex Legends challenges are as follows:

  • Legendary Hunt Badge (Tracks your Longest top 5 streak in the Elite Queue): Finish in the top 5 in any match
  • Rare Wolfpack G7 Scout weapon skin: Finish in the top 5 in an Apex Elite match.
  • Epic Master of the Hunt Bloodhound Legend skin: Finish in the top 5 in any queue five times (consecutive or nonconsecutive).
  • Legendary Tamed beast Triple Take weapon skin: Win twice in any queue.

It’s been confirmed we’ll hear more of Apex Legends — specifically, of its Season 2 content — during an EA pre-E3 2019 EA Play livestream event this weekend.

Apex Legends is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
