Anthem loot buffed, then nerfed in recent patches

Anthem loot has been buffed — then nerfed — thanks to two recent patches, and players aren’t happy.

Freelancers were recently rejoicing over improved in-game loot drop rates, but sadly, a patch deployed over the past weekend has slowed those down. Players, as you might expect, aren’t happy with the latter change.

Over on the Anthem subreddit, it has been suggested that players boycott the gam between 11-15 March as a form of protest.

“Get your point across, simple as that,” user Supp0rt wrote. “Stop Playing the game for a whole Week (Hopefully with the support of the entire Subreddit) to show BioWare that all it’d take for us to really enjoy the game, is to receive loot.”

It’s already been pointed out that Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is available to Gold and Ultimate Edition players this week, so Anthem player numbers are already likely to drop accordingly. Nevertheless, it looks like BioWare’s ongoing issues with loot are far from over.

Are you happy with loot drop rates and quality inside Anthem?

Anthem is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
