Anthem doesn’t have character classes, but you can still roll alts

Anthem will let players roll multiple alts regardless of a lack of character-based classes, it was recently confirmed.

While Anthem does have classes — Ranger, Colossus, Storm and Interceptor, to be specific — they’re tied to Javelin suits rather than your character. This means one player can have four separate Javelin suits and cover each class.

Despite this, Anthem Executive Producer, Mark Darrah, took to Twitter to confirm that players will be able to have multiple characters, known in-game as Freelancers.

Alt up to your heart’s content (though why you’d do that as opposed to just running different Javelins is beyond us).

Anthem heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 22 February 2019.
