Anthem delayed to 2019, new Battlefield coming in October

Anthem has been delayed to 2019, EA has recently confirm.

The official word of the “delay” was issued to the Wall Street Journal, though EA says reports of the delay itself are untrue as an official release date was never issued.

“It’s not a delay,” EA’s Blake Jorgensen said to WSJ. “People are trying to create a story.”

Despite the technicalities of a 2018 or 2019 launch, EA has now locked in an “early 2019” release for BioWare’s newest IP. Got all that?

In the meantime, EA says a new Battlefield title will be released in October 2018.

Anthem is expected on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Last week, the title was rumored to be delayed so BioWare could get things right.
