Aniimo closed beta test kicks off later in January, accepting sign-ups now

Want in? Sign up!

A second Aniimo closed beta test is scheduled to start on 23 January, with developer Pawprint Studio now accepting sign-ups for those who want to join.

Those interested in joining the playtest on either Windows PC via Steam, Xbox Series S, or Xbox Series X can do so right here. There’s also a slightly different sign-up form for content creators; found here, it provides a little bit more than the usual stream in hope you’ll hype the game up for others.

Alongside news of the closed beta, Pawprint Studio also detailed new Aniimbo, including Boss Aniimo and even its first Legendary Aniimo, named Irelia.

Announced back in June last year, Aniimo is described as a “free-to-play, creature-catching open-world RPG where players explore the world of Idyll, collecting and merging with magical Aniimo creatures through a unique ‘Twining’ mechanic. Players will explore uncharted landscapes, solve ancient mysteries, and master dynamic gameplay in a journey of discovery.”

A bit Pokemon? Sure, but that doesn’t need to be a bad thing.

Aniimo is planned for a 2026 release on Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, alongside Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, iOS, and Android.
