Among Ripples Shallow Waters is a post-climate change game

Among Ripples Shallow Waters has described itself as a “post-climate change game” where players are tasked to cope with the aftermath of a climate breakdown.

“[In] the story campaign we want to explore the inequalities of climate change and the scars left due to the change,” Martin Griep of the Sweden-based Eat Create Sleep said. “We’re working together with real ecologists to create a simulation of something that could happen in real life, if we just tried.

“I believe games need to take their part in helping us come to grips with the problems we face, like any great medium can.”

Among Ripples: Shallow Waters is currently seeking crowdfunding via KickStarter; at press time, the title was at $12,506 AUD of its $48,101 AUD goal.
