Amazon today announced its newest Kindle, offering up a high-resolution display with more storage and the ability to charge over USB-C.
“Priced at $179 AUD/$199 NZD, the new Kindle delivers premium features at an affordable price, including a 300 ppi high-resolution 6-inch display, USB-C charging, longer battery life of up to six weeks, and room for thousands of books with twice the storage,” the company said in a press release.
Said storage amounds to 16GB of space for your books and comics, and that’s coupled with “a 15cm, glare-free, 300 ppi high-resolution display with three times more pixels” to read from.
Pre-orders are open today, and units will begin shipping out to customers from 12 October. The new Kindle comes in Black or Demin colouring; new fabric covers come in Black, Rose, Denim and Dark Emerald and will set you back $49.95 AUD or $54.95 NZD.
