Amazon promises to fix a very broken Comixology

Amazon has pledged to fix a very broken Comixology service after implementing a series of changes that have made it practically unusable.

“We’ve been combing through your feedback, and continue to be grateful for all the comics lovers out there,” read the beginning of a statement posted to Comixology’s official Twitter account.

“We understand that the current experience needs improvements, and want you to know that we’re working hard to get those out the door as quickly as possible.”

Amazon acquired Comixology in 2014 but only fully integrated its storefront into the Amazon ecosystem this year. Fans have not been receptive to the changes made (Gizmodo has detailed what’s changed here).

“In the coming weeks, we’re launching a beta version of the web reading experience that will include double-page spread, new zoom in/out functionality and vertical scroll while reading,” Amazon continued. “It won’t support Guided View yet, but we are working on that next.”

Good news for Comixology users, all up… though you’ll need to remain patient just a little while longer.
