Alien MMO shooter studio Cold Iron bought by Daybreak Games

Cold Iron, the studio currently working on an Alien MMO shooter, has been acquired by DC Universe Online‘s Daybreak Games.

“Daybreak and Cold Iron share the same passion and long history for delivering action-packed multiplayer games for audiences worldwide,” Cold Iron Studios’ co-founder Craig Zinkievich said in a statement.

“In combining our decades of experience developing and launching globally successful multiplayer titles, we’re destined to make great games together.”

News of Cold Iron’s Alien game came in early 2018; an update a year later confirmed the game would be in the form of an MMO. We’ve not heard much about it since then, apart from Fox’s FoxNext being sold off to Scopely when Disney acquired Fox itself.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
