Alan Wake 2: Saga’s partner isn’t Max Payne, but Alex Casey

What a twist!

Alan Wake 2 is fast approaching, and while we knew who its two protagonists were, we didn’t necessarily know who would join them.

While some would think think that new protagonist Saga Anderson’s partner could have been Max Payne — the titular character behind Remedy’s first gigantic success — the character portrayed by Remedy’s Sam Lake will be, in fact, Alex Casey.

Some may be disappointed by that reveal, but others will be moreso engaged; Alex Casey is indeed a character conceived by none other than Alan Wake himself.

Seven years ago, Casey featured in Alan Wake’s “Return”, a clip that featured as part of Remedy’s Quauntum Break. You can check out its clip, as recorded by Stevivor, below.

As we all know, Remedy is keen to implemtent a Remedy Connected Universe, fusing the experiences of Control, Alan Wake, Quantum Break and even Max Payne together. If this isn’t signalling that, I don’t know what else is.

GET HYPE.

Alan Wake 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5 on 17 October 2023.
