Alan Wake 2 Lake House DLC coming 23 October, starring Janina Gavankar

Yes, please.

The Alan Wake 2 Lake House DLC release date has been set for 23 October here in Australia, and as expected, will focus on the Federal Bureau of Control’s Agent Kiran Estevez, played by Janina Gavankar.

Players of the base title met Agent Estevez pretty late in the game — Lake House will detail what she was up to as Alan Wake and Saga Anderson were having their own adventures.

“As FBC Agent Kiran Estevez… you’ll explore the twisted depths of the Lake House, a place where paranatural research has gone horribly wrong,” Remedy said of the DLC. “This expansion offers a gripping survival horror experience that unfolds parallel to the main game. As you explore the facility’s warped corridors and sublevels, you’ll encounter ‘The Painted,’ horrifying entities born from the collision of the Dark Place and the Pacific Northwest.”

Lake House is timed for the physical release of Alan Wake 2. It also coincides with a free Anniversary Update that will add an assist mode, further accessibility options, and more. It also seems to have more than just a passing connection to Control, with antagonist Dylan Faden spotted in the trailer (posted above).

“It did look a lot like Dylan,” Remedy’s Miika Huttunen told Xbox Wire. “It might be worth really exploring the nooks and crannies of the Lake House…”

That’s all you had to tell me.

Alan Wake 2 is now available on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5. Lake House comes on 23 October, joining Night Springs; both are included in the Deluxe and physical editions of the title. The core title won Stevivor’s Game of the Year for 2023.
