AFL Evolution 2 announced for 2019 release

AFL Evolution 2 will debut in 2019, the AFL and AFL Player’s Association today announced. The title will be produced by Tru Blu in conjunction with Wicked Witch.

“The new version will feature both the Toyota AFL Premiership Season and the NAB AFL Women’s Competition and its players following an extensive process to recreate likeness,” a press release states.

Moreover, additional AFL venues will be added, including Ballarat’s MARS Stadium, TIO Traeger Park in Alice Springs and Hobart’s Blundstone Arena. The game will also feature VFL, SANFL, WAFL, NEAFL and TAC Cup competitions. Anthony Hudson and Garry Lyon will feature as in-game commentators.

“It’s a pleasure to work with the AFL on what will be our fourth major video game release. We enjoy a close working relationship with the AFL and it’s our mission to deliver the detail and intensity of the modern AFL game in arguably the best footy video game experience,” said Tru Blu Entertainment Managing Director Sebastian Giompaolo.

Expect AFL Evolution 2 on Windows PC via Steam, Xbox One and PS4 in 2019.
