Activision’s licensed Transformers, Korra games are disappearing from digital stores

Update: Activision Blizzard has confirmed with IGN that its licensing agreement with Hasbro regarding the Transformers franchise has concluded.

Original story: A bunch of Activision licensed titles appear to be disappearing from digital storefronts.

The users of ResetEra began to notice that Acti’s numerous Transformers games — including War for Cybertron, Devastation and Rise of the Dark Spark — can no longer be found on the PlayStation Network, nor Steam. Quickly afterward, the licensed Legend of Korra game also disappeared.

This isn’t the first time Activision’s licensed titles have disappeared without a trace. Deadpool was pulled back in 2014, only to be reinstated and then pulled last month. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan only was available for eight months after its release.

We’ve reached out to Activision for comment.

What do you make of the games being pulled with little to no fanfare or warning?
