Activision claim the Wii U launch has been disappointing

In a post-earnings financial call today, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick said Activision is “somewhat disappointed” with the launch of Nintendo’s new console. To date the Wii U has sold 3.06 million units and Nintendo recently revised its sales forecast for the console, expecting to sell 30% less units through March than previously anticipated.

Kotick’s comments came as a reply to questions relating to potential sales of Skylanders on the Wii U. The lacklustre launch is “something we are concerned about” said Kotick, citing the target audience of Skylanders is children aged 6 to 11.

More bad news for Wii U. If you bought one at launch tell us how you feel about Wii U? If not, are you planning on getting one?
