A special Pokémon Nintendo Direct takes place early Saturday morning

Nintendo today advised of a special Pokémon-themed Nintendo Direct, to air this coming Saturday morning.

The Direct begins at 2.00 am AEDT this Saturday, 27 February, and helps to celebrate the franchise’s 20th anniversary.

Rumour has it that the Direct is a short one — perhaps only 5 minutes at length — but we haven’t been able to confirm this.

The Direct will be available on demand later in the day.

Update: Five minute length, confirmed!

Here’s a (very rough) translation:

“It will broadcast the “Pokémon Direct 2016.2.27″ February 27th (Saturday) at midnight.  It is about five minutes of short video, but the visit is if you are interested.”

Thanks, Vook.
