A new Avatar game is on the way from the developers of The Division

A new Avatar game is on the way from Ubisoft, Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment.

Based on James Cameron’s popular 3D film, then new game will be developed by Tom Clancy’s The Division‘s Massive Entertainment. It will use Massive’s Snowdrop engine, also employed by The Division.

“What impressed me about Massive were the group’s passion for this project, and the power of its Snowdrop engine. With the power of [the engine], and the team’s passion and obsessive focus on detail, we know they’re the right group to bring the beauty and danger of Pandora to life,” said filmmaker Cameron.

The film itself has four sequels in development.

A release date and available platforms are as yet unknown. We’ll keep you informed as we learn more.
