A free SSX title update brings two new gameplay modes

EA wants to thank you for making SSX a hit, so they’re giving you a free update with two new game modes included. Thanks, EA!

Included in the update are “3-2-1 Go! Events” and a “Freeride” mode.

“3-2-1-Go! Events are a completely new way to experience multiplayer in SSX,” claims EA’s press release. This new game mode allows you to play against up to five other rides in Trick it and Race it heats. To win an event, you must be the first rider to cross the finish line.

Touted by EA as “one of the most requested modes from the SSX community,” the new Freeride  mode “is a single player experience that allows you to endlessly explore every inch of the massive mountains of SSX at your own pace and with your own style.” So, because I’m awful at the game, it sounds like just the ticket.

The title update is available now on both Xbox 360 and PS3.
