Overwatch to receive free characters and maps post launch

Blizzard has confirmed that Overwatch will receive free characters and maps as part of ongoing updates.

“When we patch a new hero into the game, we want it to be free and not as DLC,” Jeff Kaplan, the game’s Director, said of post-launch content.

Overwatch is currently in beta. Its full release is expected on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 next year.
