Yooka-Laylee fully funded on Kickstarter after only 40 minutes

The ex-Rare employees at Playtonic Games are surely overjoyed that the Kickstarter for their Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor, Yooka-Laylee, was fully funded a mere 40 minutes after its launch.

The Kickstarter for the project — which is still accepting donations and publishing new stretch goals — can be donated to here.

With the effort, Yooka-Laylee now holds the record for the fastest video game project to hit $1 million USD on Kickstarter.

Stretch goals met to date mean the title will see a simultaneous release on Windows PC, Mac, Linux, Wii U, Xbox One and PS4.
