80% of apps on the Apple App Store aren’t visible

Adjust, a mobile analytics company, has just released a report that says 80% of Apple App Store apps aren’t visible to consumers.

To be visible, an app must “rank on any of the 39,171 App Store top lists on two out of three days over the month,” the report says.

To put things in perspective, there were 1,197,087 apps on the App Store as of June 2014.

Games make up the bulk of the store itself, with 237,389 apps added in 2014 alone.

Bad news for game designers, but the question is, with so much content available, how do you feature the cream of the crop?
