50 new Hoenn Pokémon added to Pokémon Go

Hoenn region Pokémon have been added into Pokémon Go, developer Niantic has recently confirmed.

Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire’s Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip and 47 other Hoenn region Pokémon are now roaming the streets, just begging to be caught by eager trainers.

Additionally, Niantic confirmed it has added dynamic weather to the game; local conditions around you will cause similar weather in-game. The feature can help catch Pokemon — the Water-type Mudkip might be easier to catch on a rainy day, as an example. Finally, weather will also aid your caught Pokémon; Charizard’s attacks will be more powerful on a sunny day.

Pokémon Go is available now on iOS and Android devices.
