48,200 people attended this year’s E3; E3 2014 to take place 10-12 June

The Entertainment Software Association last week confirmed that approximately 48,200 people attended E3 2013, and that next year’s convention will take place 10-12 June 2014.

The ESA furthered that the world’s largest video game conference brought an additional $40 million of revenue to Los Angeles this year, and that attendance numbers went up by over 5.5% this year, from 45,700 attendees in 2012.

“This year’s E3 showcased the best that our industry has to offer and channeled the immense energy, drive and enthusiasm for video games onto a global stage,” said Michael D. Gallagher, president and CEO of the ESA, in a recent press release.

That’s a lot of energetic people, eh?
