2K to sponsor the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence’s “Friday Night Live” youth basketball program

2K today announced a new partnership with the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE).

The move means 2K will sponsor the “Friday Night Live” youth basketball program at NCIE. The first 2K-sponsored event takes place this Friday, 28 July in Redfern, Sydney.

“Australian consumers are some of our most passionate fans. We’ve already given them the Boomers in NBA 2K17, now it’s time to give something back to the community,” said Alfie Brody, Vice President of Marketing for NBA 2K.

“NCIE is delighted to be working with 2K,” added Kirstie Parker, CEO of NCIE. “Their sponsorship of the ‘Friday Night Live’ program means we can host more young people, put on more workshops and – of course – we can now play NBA 2K in our very own Gaming Lounge!”

The events will make use of 2K’s NBA 2K16NBA 2K17 heads to Windows PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 from 16 September.
