007 First Light is the name of IO Interactive’s James Bond game

And we'll learn more soon!

007 First Light is the name of IO Interactive’s upcoming James Bond game, the studio has today revealed. What’s more, we’ll actually see it “soon”.

007 First Light is a brand new James Bond video game developed and published by IO Interactive,” the developer said. “Featuring a wholly original Bond origin story, players will step into the shoes of the world’s favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status.”

A proper game reveal is promised “soon” — aka “this week” — the studio also confirmed, part of a larger IO Interactive Showcase timed for Summer Game Fest.  Said livestream will take place on 7 June here in Australia, and feature the likes of Hitman, 007 First Light, and MindsEye.

“IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among others, the internationally acclaimed Hitman franchise, has announced its first IOI Showcase, a live-streamed and in-person event revealing details from the celebrated game creator’s properties and its publishing branch, IOI Partners, including Hitman, MindsEye, and 007 First Light,” IO said.

We’ll have more on 007 First Light as it becomes available. In the meantime, are you looking forward to a James Bond game from the makers of Hitman?
