Resident Evil Requiem continues the franchise’s long tradition of in-game files, and more importantly, Achievements, Trophies, and Challenges tied to collecting each. This guide will help you find each and every file within Resident Evil Requiem.
Finding each of the 75 files within Requiem will grant you the Case Closed Achievement, or the Case Closed Trophy, and the associated Case Closed Challenge.
Spoilers follow in terms of file and location names, so consider yourself warned. All files are listed in the order in which they’re found, by default, within Requiem‘s file menu, in order to make it easier to find the files you may be missing.
Wrenwood Files | Rhodes Hill Files | Raccoon City Files | ARK Files
Wrenwood Files
- Wrenwood City Guide (Grace): This is obtained right at the very start of the game, on the right-hand side of the sidewalk.
- Investigation Report (Grace): This is automatically obtained when you walk into the Wrenwood Hotel. You’ll even get a prompt (see below).
- Hotel Pamphlet (Grace): Found on the ground in the Wrenwood Hotel Lobby.
- Notice of Closure (Grace): Found in the Wrenwood Hotel Office, just off the lobby. You’ll also find a map for the hotel in the same room.
- Alyssa’s Journal (Grace): Story-related and unmissable.
- Report on Victor Gideon (Leon): Story-related and unmissable.
Rhodes Hill Files
There are a lot of files here, obtained in five general sections. As always, we’ve listed who grabs the file first (but there is some overlap).
- Progress Notes (Grace): In the same room that you wake up in, Room 203. Look on a side table.
- Note on Cardboard Box (Grace): Oddly enough, this note is on a cardboard box in Room 205.
- Care Center Pamphlet (Grace): After escaping The Girl and ending up in the larger Care Center, you’ll find this on a coffee table in the Guard Office.
- Whiteboard Scrawl (Grace): Same room, the Guard Office, on (again, oddly enough) a whiteboard.
- Folded Note (Grace): Found in a jacket hanging up in the 2F Gallery.
- Chairman’s Note (Grace): The next three files are found in the Chairman’s Office. This one requires a pencil from the backroom of the same area. Then, get scribbling.
- Copy of an Email to a Manager (Grace): This is on a table at the front of the room of the Chairman’s Office.
- Note to the Chairman (Grace): We found this as Leon later, but it’s in the same room as the other two. Check the bin in the corner.
- Blood Compound Analysis (Grace): This is in the Blood Lab on a desk. The analysis machine is in the same room.
- Safe Replacements (Grace): This is found in the Waiting Room on the way back to the lobby.
- Lead Researcher’s Message (Grace): The next four files are basically on top of one another. The message is on a side table, and three photos are around the room.
- Lead Researcher’s Picture 1 (Grace): See above.
- Lead Researcher’s Picture 2 (Grace): See above.
- Lead Researcher’s Picture 3 (Grace): See above.
- Examination Room Safe Code (Grace): This is found in a little side room off the Lead Researcher’s Office.
- Patient Medical Records (Grace): On a desk in the Conference Room area.
- Spencer’s Research I (Grace): This is with the next file (Unlocking the Organ Transport Box), obtained in a notebook after opening the puzzle box (Star, Sun, Moon, Sun). Make sure to inspect both files in the notebook once obtained.
- Unlocking the Organ Transport Box (Grace): See above.
- Victor’s Journal Entry (Grace): With Level 1 entry access, head into the room off the Blood Lab. This is on a table.
- Construction Notice (Grace): This is on the wall opposite the Custodian’s Office.
- Bar & Lounge Safe Code (Grace): This is upstairs on a desk in the Office.
- Background Check (Grace): This is also in the Office, further down and on a desk.
- Disposal Team Report (Grace): This is found in the Records Room, just off the office from the last two files.
- Double Mutation (Grace): This is in a room in the Isolation Ward. Check on top of a bunch of cardboard boxes.
- Nurse’s Log (Grace): Same room as the last file in the Isolation Ward, on a table.
- Satiety Suppression Medical Records (Leon): Starting up as Leon, you’ll find this in the room off the main Attic.
- Basement Safe Code (Leon): This is in the warped cabinet in the room off the Attic, between it and Attic Storage.
- Dishwasher’s Note (Leon): This is in a warped cabinet in the hallway near the Chairman’s Office and the Gallery.
- Special Directive for Raccoon City (Leon): This and the next file are picked up automatically.
- Report on Raccoon City Syndrome (Leon): See above.
- Staff Member’s Last Words (Grace): The next files are obtained as Grace, under the Care Center. This one is right as you start the sequence, near a body.
- Operation to Eliminate “The Girl” (Grace): This is in the well-lit Security Room, on a desk.
- Unlocking the Cells (Grace): This is on the wall at the end of the Holding Cells area. You’ll need to come back here later to actually open them up.
- Technician’s Note (Grace): This is on a table in the Workshop. You’ll also be able to obtain the Raccoon Roundup map for Rhodes Hill in a nearby safe.
- Security Guard’s Report (Grace): This is also located in the Workshop area, on a desk near a hard hat.
- Visitor Record (Grace): Back on the surface, head out with Emily to the nearby helicopter and drop her off. This is then in the Helipad Office nearby.
- Note Regarding Research Results (Grace): This is in the VIP Suite inside the Helipad office. You’ll find it on the desk in the back.
- Spencer’s Research II (Grace): After the elevator ride, this is in Reception near an item box.
- Subject 170 Record (Grace): This is on a blue gurney in Collection & Testing.
- Grace Ashcroft Blood Analysis Report (Grace): This is on a desk near the Development room.
- Roof Hatch Manual (Grace): Playing again as Grace after dropping Emily off. This is in the Hatch, near the hatch the document refers to, and a bunch of supplies.
Raccoon City Files
- Report on the Raccoon City Incident (Leon): This one is automatic as you start back up.
- Raccoon City Incident Newspaper (Leon): As you start, check the right-side of the road as you progress.
- Orders for the Engineer Corps (Leon): This is in the Central Camp — thanks, BSAA!
- Battery Storage Locations (Leon): This is near the battery puzzle after you travel a bit underground.
- Inventory List (Leon): As you enter the other side of the crater on the main street, this is in a nearby container.
- Engineer Corps Note (Leon): This is alongside a detonator part on the Cedarbrook Apartments Roof.
- RPD Perimeter Report (Leon): After the motorcycle ride sequence, you’ll eventually make your way to the Raccoon Police Department. This is in the Main Hall.
- Top Secret Operation (Leon): This is in the West Office, on Marvin’s desk. Awwww.
- Record of Events (Leon): This is on the chalkboard in the Operations Room. (Did you see/hear Tofu?)
- Guide Pamphlet (Leon): This is at the end of the eastern side of the 2F Main Hall. You can pick up this one until an encounter with a certain big baddie…
- Library Card (Leon): This is in Wesker’s Desk inside his office in the larger S.T.A.R.S. Office. We opened the drawer and it wasn’t there, then played around a bunch with the photo on the table behind it, so try that if it doesn’t spawn.
- Barry’s To Do List (Leon): On Barry’s desk, closest to the armoury, inside the S.T.A.R.S. Office.
- Scavenger Hunt – Clue 1 (Leon): Inside Chris’ jacket in the S.T.A.R.S. Office.
- Scavenger Hunt – Clue 2 (Leon): Inside the cabinet in the S.T.A.R.S. Office.
- Photograph (Leon): This book, located in the 2F Library, will only appear with a prompt AFTER you get the Library Card file. Inspect the book for said photograph, which also provides a clue to the armory’s locked case (RRR).
- Toe Tag (Grace): This is in the orphanage flashback. In the Crypt, you’ll need to first open a coffin, then inspect it to grab this one.
- Series 60 Results (Grace): This is within the shiny Umbrella lab, on a desk in the Research Lab.
- New Researcher’s Notebook (Grace): In the same room as the last file, on a different desk in the Research Lab.
ARK Files
- N0-AH Status Report (Leon): Once Leon gets into Umbrella’s shiny labs, this is on a computer screen in the Staff Room.
- Product Catalog 1 (2026) (Leon): This and the next two files — three total — are all located in the Guest Lounge.
- Raccoon City Bioweapon Research – Report (Leon): See above.
- Product Catalog 2 (2026) (Leon): See above.
- Access Log: 51st Assembly Minutes (Grace): Back as Grace, this is on a computer screen in the Monitor Control Room.
- Sterilization Chamber Safe (Grace): This is in a container, of sorts, in the hallway near Bioweapon Repository 05. Mind the lickers!
- Monitor Control Room Safe (Grace): This is in a container (you may need to open it first, we forget which was which) inside Bioweapon Repository 05.
- Access Log: First Assembly Minutes (Grace): This is on a screen on the right-hand side of the Archives room.
- Alyssa’s Interview Notes (Grace): Story-related and automatically obtained alongside the last file. Congratulations!
- Letter from Patrick (Grace): See above.
