Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways Puzzles Guide: Your one-stop cheat sheet

Ada supreme.

Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC is out now, and this here guide will help you with all of its puzzles.

Like in the base game, there are some puzzles with multiple solutions, depending on difficulty. We’ve highlighted those changes below.

Let’s get to it!

Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways cliffside symbols puzzle

This mirrors similar puzzles found within the base game.

The answer here is to select the following options in any order:

Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways lithograph puzzle

Deju vu, eh? This one is a lot like others in the base game.

The trick here is matching both the colour, symbol and shape in each position.

  • Left: Red bonnet with hexagon
  • Top: Red fan with square
  • Right: Blue umbrella with square
  • Bottom: Blue dress/bell with hexagon

Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways Red Ink shield puzzle

This requires you to shoot three shields in a specific order. They’re found to the left of the fireplace in this puzzle room.

Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways Blue Butterfly lock puzzle

This is a combination lock looking for a specific sequence… and you’ll complete a challenge if you open this without reading nearby documents.

Select Beetle, Antlers, Lizard. Note the difference between the beetle selected in spot 1, and the other above the lizard in spot 3.

Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways lazer room door codes

Look, we won’t say why you need quick access to these codes, but you will. They differ between difficulty too.

  • Door one
    • Assisted, Standard, Hardcore: 148
    • Professional: 116
  • Door two
    • Assisted, Standard, Hardcore: 237
    • Professional: 906
