Prey’s latest patch offers up a new recycling glitch

Prey‘s latest patch, 1.02, has opened up a new wait to exploit recycling systems.

The new glitch will take one item and magically change it into 48. To accomplish this, you need to put less than 1.00 of an item within the recycler. This is done through splitting, much like the game’s first recycling glitch. Then, you’ll need to take advantage of quick saves and loads and take advantage of some faulty in-game rounding.

The method was discovered (and posted) by Reddit user Aeramus. His video is below:

It’s admittedly slower than the now-patched initial recycling glitch, but hey — it works.

Prey is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. We reviewed it here.
