How many chapters are there in Mortal Kombat 1 story mode?

Mortal Kombat 1 is out now in early access, and this guide tells you how many chapters it has alongside an idea of how long it takes to beat it.

Our first playthrough of the story took approximately 8 hours to complete on medium difficulty, and that included Test Your Might segments (which can be skipped). The Test Your Might segments were the only battles we lost and had to replay as part of progression.

Completing story mode will unlock Havik in the character roster.

Outside of early access, Mortal Kombat 1 will be available from 19 September 2023 on Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, alongside Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS5 and Switch. Our review is currently in progress.
