Revenge of the Savage Planet isn’t planned for Switch 2, but could be

It won't run on a Switch, but it will run on PS4 and Xbox One...

Revenge of the Savage Planet isn’t planned for the Switch 2 at the moment, but could be in the future, Raccoon Logic’s Alex Hutchinson told Stevivor.

“Well, we supported the original Switch with [Journey to the Savage Planet],” Hutchinson explained, “and Nintendo did approach us to ask if we could put this one on the current Switch; it just wasn’t possible.”

While it mightn’t be possible on the original Switch, it’s extremely likely Raccoon Logic wouldn’t have that problem with the upcoming Switch 2, one rumoured to be as powerful as a PS4 Pro.

“We are supporting PS4 though,” Hutchinson continued. “There’s still, like, 50 million people playing [on that console platform], so let’s give it a shot.”

Ultimately, Hutchinson said he’d love to see Savage Planet back on a Switch.

“I would like to do the Switch 2,” he said. “[Savage Planet] feels like it’s always felt like a Nintendo game to me. So hopefully once [Nintendo] get to launch and they’re looking at other stuff, yeah, we’ll restart that chat.”

We’ll learn more about the Switch 2 next week.

Revenge of the Savage Planet heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5 on 8 May 2025, also available on Xbox Game Pass. Its Cosmic Hoarder Edition provides early access gameplay from 5 May.
