Mario Kart 8 Deluxe heads to the Nintendo Switch in April

Nintendo today confirmed a port of Mario Kart 8 will head to the Nintendo Switch.

Available from 28 April, Mario Kart 8 will include new content like Inkling racers.

New confirmed racers include King Boo, Dry Bones, Bowser Jr., Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl.

New or returning features include:

  • Dual Item Capacity: Players can hold up to two items at one time.
  • Drive Assist: This optional mode makes it so a player cannot fall off a course.
  • Boo and Feather Item: The Boo item allows for a racer to steal an item from another, while the Feather allows for big jumps.

Most important is that Battle Mode makes a triumphant return to the franchise with this re-release.
