Pokémon Go: New Pokémon confirmed, details coming next week

Pokémon Go developer Niantic today confirmed that new Pokémon will be added to the title soon.

An actual release date wasn’t named, but more information will be forthcoming on 12 December.

Rumours are swirling that 100 second generation Pokémon will be added as soon as 13 December, in partnership with Starbucks. While Niantic didn’t comment on that partnership, it has confirmed a union with Sprint, a US-based telecom. As part of the deal, Sprint, Boost Mobile and Sprint at RadioShack stores will become PokéStops and Gyms.

Ditto is the newest addition to the mobile title, currently available on iOS and Android devices.
