Destiny: Bungie’s started an Owl Sector ARG ahead of “Rise of Iron”

Guardians playing Destiny have taken to the internet to report the beginnings of an in-game ARG, likely tied to the upcoming “Rise of Iron” expansion.

Those in the Crucible have begun to notice strange perks being applied to random characters.

There are five perks: Brilliance 3.2, Glory 2.1, Splendor 2.6, Magnificence 2.0 and Fortitude 3.1.

A player who received a perk during a Twitch livestream was messaged by user owl_sector, who advised, “We’ve detected an unidentified foreign intrusion into your systems, Guardian. Stay calm. We will investigate.”

The Twitch user’s account links to an Owl Sector website, which boasts the Latin motto “vigilamus noctu,” translated roughly to “we remain awake at night.”

The website also displays a world map showing just how many people have been touched by the “transmission”.

We’ll keep you posted.
