Overwatch’s upcoming competitive mode, detailed

Blizzard recently took to a new video that explains Overwatch‘s upcoming competitive play mode.

You can check it out below:

For the “too long; didn’t watch” people out there, the new system will assign you a matchmaking ranking (MMR) that’s tied to your skill ranking, represented as a number between 1 and 100. As you play, that level will fluctuate up and down.

Blizzard will show off each team’s average skill rating ahead of matches.

Moreover, Blizzard’s Jeff Kaplan advised that in-game bonuses will be gifted to those who excel in the competitive mode, citing a golden hammer for Reinhardt as a possibility.

Overwatch‘s competitive mode should head to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 by the end of the month.
