EA @ E3: New casual and pro competitive modes introduced in Madden NFL

EA today detailed three new ways in which EA Sports fans can play competitively across Madden titles.

Three new event types will cater to casual fans and professional players:

  • Challenger events — Players can easily host their own tournaments.
  • Premier events — EA will host these with major partners.
  • EA Major events — Marquee live events run by EA on a global stage.

The first EA Major event will be Madden NFL 16 Championship, held in Los Angeles at E3. The Madden NFL 17 Championship series was also announced, offering up $1 milllion USD in prize money.
