Capcom confirms new Resident Evil 2 will be a full remake

Capcom took to Twitter to clear up a “mistranslation” in an investor report that mistakenly suggested its new Resident Evil 2 release would be a remaster rather than a full remake.

Capcom has clarified, saying Resident Evil 2 will be “a full from the ground up remake”:

The remake should be along the lines of the Gamecube remake of the original Resident Evil, recently re-released on current-gen. We reviewed the Resident Evil remake here.
