Hideo Kojima’s name removed from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain box art

On again, off again.

The saga of deteriorating discussions between Konami and Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima has once again taken a turn, as Konami has decided to remove Kojima’s name from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain box art.

NeoGAF users quickly spotted that the Kojima Productions logo has been removed from the bottom left of recently uploaded box art. “A Hideo Kojima Game” has also been removed from the top of the game’s title area.

This isn’t the first time this has happened; back in March, Konami dropped the Kojima Productions logo from Metal Gear Solid titles before adding it back on in April.
