amiibo and Skylanders team-up on for Skylanders SuperChargers on Wii U

During Nintendo’s Digital Event, Vicarious Visions’ Karthik Bala helped Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime introduce Skylanders amiibo.

Two figures — Hammerslam Bowser and Turbo Charge Donkey Kong — will work as both Skylanders figures and standard amiibos, making collectible fans squeal with delight, we imagine.

The figures will obviously be a Wii U exclusive.
