Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain special editions confirmed, (over-)priced for Australia

Following the initial release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Day One and Collector’s Edition details, Australian pricing and availability has now been confirmed.

Konami has set the price of the robust PS4 or Xbox One Collector’s Editions at $249.95 AUD, while the Day One edition is priced at $89.95 AUD on last-gen and $109.95 AUD on current-gen.

Compare that to pricing in the United States, and it looks like we’ve been hit with the Australia Tax. In the US, the Phantom Pain‘s Collector’s Edition is priced at just $99.95 USD.
