Mortal Kombat X secures an R18+ classification in Australia

Well, we were wrong… and we’re very happy to admit it.

The Australian Classification Board has issued Mortal Kombat X with an R18+ classification, citing mild impact themes, moderate impact language and high impact violence.

We’re not aware of any modified content, so it looks like gory fatalities are here to stay… but that said, we’re checking with Warner Bros. on that, just in case.

Mortal Kombat X will be available from 14 April for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Thanks, @AusVGClass!
