Nintendo will disband Club Nintendo in September 2015

Nintendo Australia has just announced they’ll be discontinuing Club Nintendo. As of writing, Nintendo Japan and Europe have also made the same confirmation.

Club Nintendo will cease to exist on 30 September 2015. A new program will be launched to take its place later in 2015.

Nintendo games will no longer have Club Nintendo product registration cards from 1 April. On 20 April, digital product registration will cease. Finally, the Club itself will end on 30 September. All Stars earned will expire at that time, so it’s best to spend up before then.

Nintendo Australia commenced Club Nintendo back in 2008, though other regions have run the program for longer.

A full FAQ on the matter can be found on Nintendo Australia’s website.
