Nintendo makes you pay to turn off the New 3DS’ internet filter

This new New 3DS news just keeps getting better and better.

As part of their 3DS-focused Nintendo Direct, the Japanese company confirmed that the New 3DS will contain and internet filter that will require users to pay a nominal fee if they wish to disable it.

It’s not a huge fee —  it’ll set gamers back 30 yen (or $.30 AUD) — but still, it sure ain’t free.

What do you make of the New 3DS’ internet filter, or the fragmenting handheld in general?
