Call of Duty: Ghosts data can also be transferred between current- and next-gen consoles

Much like — hell, exactly like — a similar announcement made by DICE today regarding Battlefield 4, Infinity Ward and Activision today confirmed that player stats will move between current- and next-gen consoles.

During its Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer reveal, Treyarch announced that player data can move both ways, from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, and vice versa, with the same functionality working between PS3 and PS4.

It was also confirmed that DLC can be transferred between current- and next-gen consoles as well.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is due for release on 5 November for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. It will also be on next-gen consoles at their respective launches.
