Destiny’s Trials of Osiris: Guardians take to Reddit to complain of DDoS, spamming and other shady tactics

Redditor OdysseyWolf has taken to the popular site to complain of DDoS attacks and spamming amongst players of Destiny‘s Trials of Osiris.

In the mode, teams of three compete against one another in a best of 5 match elimination round. The Fireteam that eliminates all three members of the other Fireteam, at once, wins a match.

OdysseyWolf says he’s had enough.

I was DDOS’d twice last night with video proof and Trials report proof. Twice. My motivation is gone from DestinyTheGame

Other Redditors are complaining they’re spammed with PlayStation Network messages, mid-match, severely disrupting competition.

While the above messages are the most encountered, according to the Reddit thread, others are complaining of “lag switchers”. Those players usually enter games with a red bar, signalling a bad connection, and jump around the map like the little girl from The Ring. They generally take far more shots than necessary to bring down, and have an easier time eliminating foes.

Destiny took to Reddit to advise that Guardians should report offenders whenever possible.

Have you encountered unsportsmanlike behaviour in Trials of Osiris?
